Day 01: Arrival/ Addis Ababa
Arrive at the Addis Ababa and be welcomed by Stone Age tour and travel representative and transferred to your hotel. Overnight hotel-Addis Ababa
Day 02: Addis Abeba City Tour-laibela
After Breakfast, drive to the Entoto Mountain, for a panoramic view of Addis, Entoto Museum with historical and royal exhibit, The Church of St. Mary, built in 1885 and the old palace of emperor MenelikII. Drive back to Addis for the National Museum in which you are visiting different archaeological findings. After lunch, fly from Addis Ababa to lalibela. Lalibela is prominent for its rock-hewn churches; these churches are so magnificent sometimes - referred as “The eighth wonder of the world.” After check in to your hotel visit the first group of six churches. After lunch visit the fascinating 2nd group churches of lalibela. Overnight at chosen hotel lailibela
DAY 03: FULL DAY TOUR OF LALIBELA
Early morning Climb Asheten Maryam for a panoramic view of the region and a mountain Church named Asheten Mariam. After breathing on the top (more than 3000m), descend down to Lalibela, after lunch drive to the cave church called Yimrahine Kristos (42km from Lalibela). This Church has been constructed by King Yimrahine Kristos during 13th Century. In the church, there are more than 5000 (five thousand) dead human skeleton lying without any coverage for the past 700 years. They are supposed to be pilgrimages from Syria, Egypt and Ethiopia. The murals on the dark walls of the church and the forest around are very impressive and worthy to be visited. Overnight – at chosen hotel - Lalibela
DAY 04: LALIBELA-ADDIS ABABA
Early morning after breakfast, visit Nakuto Làabe Cave Church (5km from Lalibela) & the surrounding scenery and the life style of the local community. Then after fly back to Addis Abeba. Afternoon you can visit the ethnological Museum & finally Merkato – the largest open market in Africa. In the evening stone age tour and travel will invite you a farewell dinner party in one of the traditional Ethiopian restaurant with traditional music and dance from different ethnic groups, then you will be transferred to bole international airport to fly back home.
Day 03: chartered boat trip Lake Tana Monasteries
Lake Tana is the largest lake in Ethiopia. Years before; the islands on the lake were the home lands of Felasha/ black Jewish people. Some monasteries are cherished with treasures such as murals on the walls of monasteries, crowns and royal ropes. There are some Monasteries not allowed for women.After breakfast, half day boat trip on Lake Tana to visit all accessible monasteries on the lake. After having Picnic lunch at one of monasteries sail back to bahir dar to fly to Addis Abeba. After check in to the hotel drive to the Ethnological Museum that exhibits the culture and handicrafts of various Ethiopian ethnic groups, and finally Merkato – the largest open market in Africa. In the evening stone age tour and travel will invite you a farewell dinner party in one of the traditional Ethiopian restaurant with traditional music and dance from different ethnic groups, then you will be transferred to bole international airport to fly back home.
